Long live sculpture! in Open Air Sculpture Museum

Do statues still have a place in contemporary art? Is there still a future for the purely sculptural in an age of video art and installations? The Middelheim is convinced that there is! The exhibition shows a selection of works of a number of pioneering artists from Belgium and abroad. Every artist went in search of harmony between the need for consolation and the hard confrontation with reality.
