La Pata Negra
The Spanish have lorded over Belgium for hunderds of years and in more recent times a wave of immigrants from the Iberian peninsula has settled in Antwerp. This probably -in combination with a host of travel experiences- has led to the locals acquiring a taste for Spanish cuisine. You will find La Pata Negra -named after and specialised in the exquisite ham- in the medieval centre of the town. They also offer a host of excellent tapas, seafood, meat dishes (including chops from the Iberian pig from which the Rolls Royce of hams is made) and some truly wonderful desserts. Olé indeed.
