Het Gebaar

This restaurant is located in the former gardeners' residence in the old Botanic Gardens, which are worth a visit in their own right (think art nouveau, think greenhouse, think plants). Apart from its romantic setting, Het Gebaar is one of the best eateries in town. Roger Vandamme wields the sceptre in the kitchen and rightly so as he is arguably Antwerp's finest and most creative chef who experiments with new tastes, textures and technology. On the menu -which is focussed on lunches and pastries- you will find remarkable dishes as well as French and Mediterranean classics. You might want to make a reservation, though!
