The Silver Museum Stercksof is located in a medieval castle, in beautiful Rivierenhof Park, immediately east of the city center. The architecture of the building is very pleasing to the eyes, the park surrounding the castle gives you the possibility to relax and the museum's collection to dream about anything made of silver. Being that the focus of the entire collection is on this precious metal and that today the museum counts over 700 ornamental and consumer objects in its collection. The museum also features illustrations of various art styles, showpieces, ecclesiastical and silverware. The most exceptional donation is undoubtedly the Pierre Lunden bequest, with 96 pieces of silver dating back to the 17th and 18th century and several pieces of Chinese porcelain. You can also discover in the atelier how silver is polished and admire objects by young silversmiths. In the library with reading room, visitors can find around 22,000 books on applied arts. The museum regularly organises thematic exhibitions.
