The history of the Paella
One of Valencia's many famous facets is its reputation as a significant rice cultivator. For this reason, an old early 20th-century mill, which was used for some one hundred years, has been restored. Nowadays, the mill is home to the Valencia Rice Museum. The museum invites visitors to observe the transformation of hulled rice, from its harvest in the region’s wetlands to its arrival at the dinner table. In order to demonstrate the various processes and their purpose, the museum boasts an extensive range of machinery, which has been carefully restored.
