Ice skating

Burn off your Dutch delights by joining Amsterdammers in a true winter tradition: ice skating in the open air. The small rink tucked between cafés on Leidseplein is first to appear in November and is a favorite for kids. By mid-December two more rinks open: one at Westerpark and another in the shadow of the Rijksmuseum on the reflecting pool at Museumplein. Also on the South Pole you can skate or have a warm winter drink.
