America comes to Valencia with the America's
Where else could it be? Valencia is to host the America’s Cup once again. On this occasion, the city is to welcome what is sure to be the most exciting edition in the history of this nautical event. BMW-Oracle (USA) and Alinghi (SUI), the two leading teams in international sailing, will engage in a duel of titans on a challenging Mediterranean sea. The BMW-Oracle catamaran is already sailing in Valencian waters, raising its mast above the city’s skyline, which includes a series of buildings which have arisen from the imaginary world of mega-architects such as Santiago Calatrava, responsible for the City of Arts & Sciences, and David Chipperfield and his buildings “Veles e Vents” and the foredeck club. The excitement is guaranteed in this, the 33rd edition of the America’s Cup: the winner will become the defender for the 34th America’s Cup and earn the right to choose the next venue. On this occasion, Valencia will become the best show-case where visitors and inhabitants of the city alike will be able to experience all the adrenaline of the competition before enjoying the splendid gastronomic offer provided by the city’s sea-front restaurants.
