Port Route

Covering a vast area, the port of Antwerp stretches over an estimated 140km² on both banks of the river Scheldt. The port route will guide you along the major locks, docks and port establishments on the right bank. The aim of this route is to bring you into closer contact with the “Main Port” of Antwerp, a major hub for trade for both Antwerp and the entire world. Every year more than 130 million tons of goods are transshipped, making our port the second largest in Europe. As the old Antwerp saying goes: “Antwerp has God to thank for the Scheldt and the Scheldt for everything else”. You could combine the port route with a exciting river or port cruise. Enjoy the sights!
