Somers Optiek

The redesigned Somers Optiek shop right at the heart of Antwerp demonstrates how an abundance of ideas can generate a stunning result. With input of designer Patrick Hoet, IYA Studio from London and Antwerp architect Jan Veelaert, the new Somers Optiek took shape. The result is a transparent, contemporary shop where contrasts are pre-eminent but also offers customers plenty of space. The shop has a total floor space of 180 m2 and two levels. Strong visual touches and an unusual approach to certain components in the shop underline the dynamism of the design. You would almost forget that Somers has a wide range of sunglasses from theo, Satisfashion, Christoph Broich by theo and a number of guest brands such as Marni and Oliver Peoples. As well as the latest trends in frames, cases, theo accessories (such as the Styl-O and the Madame), cords and chains.
