Summer in the MQ

In 2011 the MuseumsQuartier celebrates its tenth birthday – with many events all summer long. Vienna's MuseumsQuartier (MQ) is one of ten largest cultural districts in the world. The mix of large museums, small cultural initiatives and trendy bars is a success story. The anniversary will be officially celebrated on June 30 with a ceremony and open-air events. Bands from all over Europe and an impressive 3D show ensure a festive atmosphere.

During "Summer in the MQ", Vienna's museum quarter will present itself as an urban oasis of joie de vivre. Its spacious courtyards are a popular summer hang-out from early May until late September. Come relax in the gardens with boules tracks, cool sounds and stylish summer furniture in the courtyard of the MuseumsQuartier. Trendy bars and restaurants ensure that life continues to pulsate at the city oasis until late in the evening.
