Antwerp Pride & IGLTA
The third edition of Antwerp Pride will be more colourful than ever. Apart from the obvious and very necessary partying, this event will also have a broad and diverse programme focusing on culture, sports and social commitment. A complete overview of the itinerary with over 50 events can be found on the website. Just as before, Antwerp Pride is aiming for a omnipresent sense of pride that will be seen, heard and felt throughout the city.
The highlight of this year will be the one and only White Party. At the Steenplein thousands of party people will partake in transforming the multicoloured masses into a unified and radiant white entirety. Moreover, this year Antwerp Pride will coincide with the IGLTA Convention. This annual convention of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association chose Antwerp as its host city for the 2010 edition and will blend beautifully with the other Antwerp Pride festivities. The convention may expect the majority of the international tourist industry that caters to LGBT travellers. Welcoming these organisations and professionals, with representatives of over 30 countries, dozens of top industry professionals and significant media coverage, will be very beneficial to Antwerp's already flourishing city tourism.
Although the convention is primarily a professional occasion, IGLTA will also be reaching out to the public. During the Travel Trade Show on June 26th in the Kammenstraat.
Event starts June 23, 2010 and ends June 27, 2010
