A riverbed full of life

A riverbed full of life

As the days in Valencia grow longer, the opportunities to enjoy the long afternoons are increased with the addition of the city’s extensive range of open-air cultural and leisure activities. Bike-lovers can enjoy a peaceful ride along the former bed of the River Turia, which was converted several years ago into a green zone crossing the city from east to west, free of traffic and full of life. To the west we find Bioparc, located next to the Cabecera Park, whilst to the east we have El Oceanogràfic, one of Europe’s largest aquariums, located within the City of Arts and Sciences. The complex also includes a museum dedicated to science, technology and all matters related to the evolution of life, and El Hemisferic, in which films are projected on an IMAX screen. Along the almost 10km route the visitor can see football, rugby and baseball fields, open-air gyms, as well as IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art), the Museum of Fine Arts, El Palau de la Música auditorium and endless stretches of green zones in which to read or simply relax.
