Need some clothes or shoes? Then the Meir is the place to be. The regal 18th and 19th Century buildings along this busy shopping street are now home to branches of large European clothes chains. The renovated historic architecture lends prestige to this pedestrian boulevard. Adjacent to this shopping street is Jezusstraat, with a cornucopia of tea rooms, food and household goods. A bit further down the street you will find the Wapper Square in front of the Rubens' House, a true oasis in the city with its many terraces.
