In Zurich, Melvins has helped them on their way. This small, friendly shop specializes in Nordic brand names and has been selling items lovingly crafted in Scandinavia since 2004. The St-Martins women's collection, for example, comprises a range of strikingly designed pieces. By contrast, the men's fashion designers represented here tend to adopt a more tried-and-tested approach. The Suit label gives men classical basics highlighted by young, contemporary details perfect for everyday wear: superbyl cut jackets, fashionable shirts and comfortable knitwear. Women can discover the various labels for themselves at their leisure in the front room, while the back room is devoted to menswear. The range includes collections that are now renowned across Europe as well as a number of small, up-and-coming names.
