25 kilometres of contrasts along the coast
Valencia is a special city thanks to the great variety of beaches and natural landscapes it possesses and turn into a perfect 25-kilometre scenario where culture and free time, leisure and nature come together. The most urban beaches, Malvarrosa and Las Arenas, are found in the northern part of the city. These two beaches are connected by a wide, attractive seafront promenade where visitors play all kinds of outdoor sports and sample a rich and varied gastronomy in the magnificent restaurants along the promenade. To the south, La Devesa stands out as the only wild beach and runs nearly five kilometres long. The extraordinary natural environment there is characterised by a rich ecosystem that gives shelter to numerous birds. The Valencia coastline is equipped with showers, foot baths and fountains adapted to the needs of the disabled. In addition, an acoustic device guides people with reduced vision to the shore.
