Pathé Tuschinski
Pathé Tuschinski Arthouse, one of the world's most beautiful cinemas, has been restored in its original state, and is decorated entirely in Art Deco style.The theatre is located in the heart of Amsterdam between 'de Munt' and the Rembrandtsquare. The theatre has always fulfilled the function of a première theatre because its atmosphere is ideally suited to such festivities.
This summer brings the oppurtunity to enjoy the interior of the Tuschinski Theatre. A professional guide leads you through this movie palace and will show the amazing decorations, lamps, furniture and the colourful carpets. You'll hear the impressive story of the Jewish tailor Abraham Tuschinski, who came from Poland and founded the cinema, where to this present day all the Dutch film premiers still take place.
