Palazzo Rubens
Palazzo Rubens I The Rubens House puts ‘the master as architect’ in the spotlight
For the first time ever an exhibition highlights Rubens’s architectural accomplishments.
In 1610 Rubens bought a private home with additional land in Wapper near Meir, one of the most prosperous streets in the city of Antwerp. The house was rebuilt according to his own design and extended with a baroque vestibule, a painter's studio and a garden pavilion.
Event starts September 10, 2011 and ends December 11, 2011
