De Muze

This is a bar in the historical center of Antwerp, which has been around since the 1960's and has been a popular spot ever since. There are three levels of seating, which are often bustling with people, most of them locals.

The interior features wooden beams that give the place a pleasantly old-fashioned atmosphere. Which is, by the way, very much real as it is a medieval building. The cafe is known for frequently featuring live jazz musicians on stage in the evenings. Music has always been important to De Muze ; singer-songwriter Ferre Grignard used to be a regular.

Needless to say they offer an astonishing array of Belgian beers, among many other things.
