Antwerp's architecture showcases different styles and the Courthouse takes this art to a new level! Glass and steel are the main two materials of this new modern building designed by architect Richard Rogers. The building forms a spectacular construction with expressive elements such as the roof. It resembles a series of sails, emphasising the proximity of the river and the importance of the port. The largest sails are 24 metres tall. This building has become an international landmark due to its unique design.
