Ronald van der Hilst

Ronald van der Hilst

It's common knowledge that the Dutch were the first to introduce the tulip to the Western world- but in fact the flower was known in Antwerp 40 years before it was introduced in the Netherlands! Artist Ronald Van Der Hilst -fittingly, a Dutchman who lives and works in Antwerp- is fascinated by tulips and uses its visual characteristics whenever he can. His designs include fashion (for the likes of Revital Avidar and Romy Smits), vases, wallpaper and so on. Flower power indeed!
