Gasometer

Four teams of star architects converted the more than a century-old gasometers into a new urban complex. Apart from 615 modern apartments and an event hall accommodating 4,200 people, the ground floor of the Gasometer Complex in Vienna's district of Simmering - once a heavily industrialized area - also houses a shopping mall. / Copyright: WTV/Karl Thomas
