Panamarenko

It's hard to tell who Panamarenko is. Is he an engineer, a philosopher, a scultptor, an inventor, a poet or a little bit of all of the above? Two things are for sure: his real name is Henri Van Herreweghe and he's one of Belgiums' most influental contemporary artists, having been called "more famous than Picasso". His early work was influenced by pop-art but he soon developed an interest in everything related to flight and he hasn't looked back since. In his often spectacular works, he blends technology and art and the result is always beautiful. One of his flying creations, Pepto Bismo, can be admired in the open air.
