Houben
Mr Houben started out in 1979 selling British designers in Antwerp and of course this also included Vivienne Westwood. In the 80s he made the switch to all things Japanese, as he was fascinated by their creativity and sense for detail. From then on you can find designs by Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garçons' Rei Kawakubo in his shop. The concept hasn't changed since, even though he now also sells the next generation of Japanese fashion (Undercover/Jun Takahashi, Number Nine/Takahiro Miyashita) and started to attract some French designers such as Azzedine Alaïa, Céline and Nina Ricci (designed by Belgian Olivier Theyskens) as well. Obviously this store should be a must on your shopping list!
