This historic monastery is a green oasis in the city centre nearby the Town Hall, the Rubens' House and the most important shopping streets.
Elzenveld is a cultural centre located in the medieval buildings of the former St. Elisabeth Hospital. The tranquil, secluded gardens, date from 1804 and are very attractive with lots of trees and plants. Maybe they draw their inspiration out the Botanical garden, that is just a few steps away.
The convent was renovated into guest rooms but it stills gives a glimpse of its former life with parquet floors and period furniture.
