Since January 2008, De Wallen - Amsterdam's famous Red Light District - has been a kind of open-air shop window. Several former prostitute's rooms in the area have been transformed into exhibition spaces for talented clothing, shoes and streetwear designers. Redlight Fashion Amsterdam is the name of the project behind this initiative. The aim is to give the many talented fashion designers in the city a platform to present their creations to the public. And this is done in a most original way, among the ladies of pleasure. Only it may be a bit tricky to explain to your wife where you bought her that great dress.
